Hastelloy C22 alloy is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or oxidizing properties containing chloride ions. Acid mixed acid. At the same time, Hastelloy C22 alloy also has the ideal resistance to the reducing and oxidizing environment encountered in the process. Hastelloy C22 alloy has exceptional resistance to a variety of chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, hot contaminated solutions (organic inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and Salt solution, etc. Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat affected zone of the weld, so that it can adapt to many chemical process applications under welding conditions.

Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C-22:
Hastelloy C22 alloy is suitable for chemical process industries with redox and reductive media. Higher molybdenum and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy C22 is one of the few materials that can resist the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution. The alloy has remarkable corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride solution (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).

Hastelloy C22 alloys have been widely used in chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that are exposed to chlorinated organic compounds.
