The chemical composition of Incoloy 800/800H/800HT is very similar. They all have good corrosion resistance to reduction, oxidation, nitriding and alternating redox media, and have high metallurgical stability in high temperature and long-term applications. However, due to the different content of the three materials (Al+Ti), the environment for using the three materials is also different. Specific performance is as follows: Incoloy 800 will operate at zero temperature, room temperature and 600 degree C high temperature. Because the content of (Al+Ti) is not more than 0.7%, Incoloy 800H has good tensile strength above 600 C and good toughness under 700 C for a long time. Incoloy800HT has excellent yield strength above 700 C.

Machining
Hot working
1, the temperature range of 1200 ° C ~ 950 ° C, cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. For best performance and creep resistance, solution treatment is required after hot working.
3. The material can be directly sent to the furnace which has been heated to 1200 °C. After sufficient time of heat preservation, it can be quickly discharged and heat-processed in the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the hot working temperature, it needs to be reheated.
Cold working
1. The work hardening rate is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, so the processing equipment needs to be selected. The cold worked material shall be in a solution heat treated state, and an intermediate annealing shall be performed when the cold working amount is large.
2. If the cold working amount is greater than 10%, the workpiece needs to be subjected to secondary solution treatment.

Corrosion resistance of incoloy 800:
Corrosion resistance is superior to general austenitic stainless steel and superior to Incoloy 600 alloy;
It is superior to Incolo 600 and Monel 400 alloys in the manufacture of corrosion-resistant stress cracking equipment.
Physical properties of Incoloy 800HT:
Melting Point: 1350-1400℃
Incoloy 800HT is resistant to many corrosive media. Its high nickel content makes it have good resistance to stress corrosion cracking under water corrosion conditions. High chromium content makes it have better resistance to pit corrosion and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acid, but its corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid is limited. In addition to the possibility of pitting corrosion in halides, it has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide.
