420J2 is easy to cut and polish, so it is suitable for tools. 420 has excellent rust resistance because of its low carbon content so it’s also an ideal steel for producing diving tools.
430 stainless steel is a general-purpose steel with good corrosion resistance,has better thermal conductivity than austenitic materials. Its thermal expansion coefficient is smaller than austenitic materials,and resistant to fatigue. With ti content make it has good mechanical properties on weld seam. 430 stainless steel is commonly use for building decoration, fuel burner parts, household appliances, home appliance parts.
431 can obtain high mechanical properties after heat treatment, and its corrosion resistance is better than 410 and 430 steel.
440C is mainly used to manufacture bearing parts that work in corrosive environments and in non-lubricating and strong oxidizing atmospheres. 440C has good high temperature dimensional stability and can be used as corrosion resistant high temperature bearing steel. It can also be used to manufacture high quality tools such as medical scalpels, scissors, nozzles, bearings, etc.
